A brief synopsis......
Charuni holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) (Honours) from the University of Colombo and a Master’s (LLM) in Commercial Law from the University of Northumbria, UK. She is a graduate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators, UK.
After enrolling as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri-Lanka in December 1998, Charuni received her initial training and functioned as an Attorney until mid 2000 at Nithya Partners. Commercial and financial law were her primary areas of involvement at Nithya Partners. She next worked at Fitch Ratings Lanka Limited, the credit rating agency, till mid 2002, as the lead analyst of the structured finance ratings team & also functioned as the Company's General Counsel.
Charuni appears as Instructing Attorney to eminent counsel including Nihal Fernando Esq, President’s Counsel, in civil and commercial litigation. She also acts as a consultant corporate lawyer.
Charuni acts as the Company secretary to numerous companies – listed, public & private companies, non governmental organizations, branches of international organizations & regional associations. Charuni is a Director of Environmental Foundation Limited.

IRESHA SOYSA

Iresha obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) (Honours) from the University of Colombo in 2002 and passed out as an Attorney-at-Law in 2004. Iresha served legal internships under Mr. M. C. M. Muneer, Attorney-at-Law, at Richard Peiris Distributors and at the Attorney General’s Department. Her apprenticeship period was spent at the Law Office of Mr. H.E.P. Cooray, Attorney-at-Law. Iresha specializes in litigation, Company secretarial work and conveyancing and has been working at CG Associates since Nov. 2004.
Iresha appears as Instructing Attorney in Testamentary, Partition, Trust, Land, Winding up, Money Recovery, Rent and Ejectment and Fundamental Rights Actions.
